Spring & Fall Cleanups:

Spring cleanup includes the first cutting of the season along with the removal of all leaves and debris left over from the winter. Beds are weeded and edged, and visible dead branches are trimmed and removed from bushes. Fall cleanup includes the last cutting of the season along with other services mentioned above. Depending on weather conditions, spring cleanups usually commence by the end of March and fall cleanups usually commence on or about the 3rd week of November. Since the northern part of the state typically receives snow earlier than other parts of the state, we usually conduct our fall cleanups from north to south in order to maximize the amount of time we have available in order to conduct cleanups. However, if needed, we are always happy to accommodate customers that require a specific cleanup date.

Weekly Yard Maintenance:

Bel Terra provides weekly yard service, which includes grass cutting, line trimming of beds and grass along hard surfaces, weeding of beds as needed, and blowing of all hard surfaces. We are always happy to work with our customers in the event that they require an additional service call during the week.

Seasonal Planting:

Bel Terra will gladly work with you to provide the seasonal color needed to make your yard look its best. We can add a splash of color to your window boxes, planters, beds, or any other spot you choose. We will gladly work with you on plant selection, or allow us to select the plants best suited to your needs.

 

Pruning and Trimming:

Bel Terra has an experienced staff which can keep your shrubs and small trees healthy and looking their best. Too often shrubs and trees become overgrown, which is not only unsightly but also unhealthy. Regular maintenance not only keep your vegetation looking its best, but also allows extra light, air circulation, and water to reach your plants and trees. We are not a “tree service”, but we are experienced with contracting and overseeing large scale pruning or removals, and we provide on-site supervision of work in progress.

Mulching:

Bel Terra can provide both organic and inorganic mulch to meet your specific requirements. Mulch not only keeps your beds looking their best, but also helps your plants and bushes by moderating soil temperature, moderating moisture levels, and reducing competition from weeds.

 

Plant Installation & Relocation:

Plants success largely depends on selecting the correct plant for the space provided and making sure that it is planted properly. Bel Terra has a staff which is experienced in all aspects of plant selection, installation, and relocation (as needed).

If you have a favorite plant or bush that is simply in the wrong spot or has gotten too large, we will gladly work with you to discuss the options of moving your plants(s) to a new location in your yard.

Core Aeration and Overseeding:

Aeration allows water and oxygen to get into the soil under your turf to keep it moist, which can be especially important in years when there is little rain. If you overseed at that time, the seed is able to get into the small dirt holes which allow it to germinate much easier than on top of the grass. Overseeding help compensate for the natural slowdown of the lawn’s reproduction and helps reestablish turf in bare spots and other problem areas. Bel Terra can provided both services to help keep your turf healthy and strong.

Fertilization:

We offer a 5-step program which jump starts your grass in the spring, fights weeds and insects during the summer, and builds strong healthy roots in the fall. Our staff monitors your yard throughout the growing season looking for any signs of problems and making recommendations to solve them.
